Reserves

Your instructor may have placed course materials and/or textbooks on reserve for your class. Reserve items may be "checked out" on the first floor for 2-hour use within the library. You may search for Reserve items by clicking on "Course Reserves" on the Library website.

Searching the Library catalog

Use the library catalog to find books and DVDs on your topic.

Go to:

  1. Click on "Library Catalog"

Using I-Share

Don't forget!

We are connected to 70+ academic libraries in Illlinois.
Use your Harper ID Card to request books from other schools via the catalog.


Look for the "I-Share" tab in the Harper College Library catalog, or the phrase

"Repeat search in All I-Share Libraries".

Interlibrary Loan

If you can't find books or articles owned by the Harper College Library you can request them through Interlibrary Loan. Access the electronic request form through the "Online Forms" and "Borrow from other Libraries" links on the library home page. Be sure to fill out as much information as possible on the form (i.e. contact information such as first and last name, phone number and email and item information such as title, author, date of publication, and any article information.  The service is free to Harper students and employees.
