A presentation given during the CUNY Supplemental Instruction Conference 2011 at CUNY-Lehman. Drawing on intellectual resources provided by the moral tradition of Virtue Ethics, I discuss the purposes of Supplemental Instruction, and suggest which virtues ought to be attended to and cultivated in order to do it well.
The Academic Tutoring and Training Information Center helps Lafayette College students reach their academic and intellectual potential. Services include individual peer tutoring for those struggling in courses; supplemental instruction with group sessions in math, biology, chemistry, economics, engineering, and physics.
