Locations and Spaces

Where will the Library be temporarily located?

  • D102.

Where will the “Course Reserves” be located?

  • H130.

Will there be any space to study?

  • Yes.  In D102 and H130.

What are your hours going to be?

Are there any study rooms?

  • Three Study Rooms will be located in H130.

Is there a space for quiet study?

  • Yes, H130.

Where should I park to visit main library in D102?

  • The most convenient lots are 14, 9, and 10. See a campus map for directions to those lots.
  • On Sundays, most other campus buildings are closed. We recommend parking in the lots mentioned above and entering directly into Building D on Sundays.

Books and Other Materials

Where are all the books?

  • The majority of the Library collection is in storage.  However, approximately, 30,000 books of the Library's collection will be available during the remodel.  Check the Library's online catalog to find items location and availability.

Will there be books available for check-out during the remodel?

Will I still be able to get books out of storage?

  • No.  The Library collection, in storage, will not be available during the remodel.  If you need to request a book through an I-Share library sign in here.

Will Reference books still be available?

Will course reserves still be available?

  • Yes. Course reserves will be located in H130. If you are a faculty member wishing to put material on reserve, see our website for more information.

Can I still access journals, magazines and newspapers? 

  • Yes. Use OneSearch and Articles & More to access  academic journals, popular magazines and newspapers online. Print subscriptions to daily newspapers and popular magazines will be available for browsing in D102. 

Will you still have movies?

  • Yes.  A select number of DVD's will be available.  Theatrical and TV movies will be available from the Library DVD kiosk located in D102.  Thousands of streaming media titles will still be available online.

Can I still request books for the Library to purchase during the remodel?

I-Share/Interlibrary Loan

Will I still be able to interlibrary loan books and journal articles?

  • Yes.  Use this form to request materials.

Where can I pick up interlibrary loan and I-Share requests?

  • ILL/I-Share materials can be picked up at the Circulation Desk in D102.

Getting Help/Library Staff

Where will the “Check out/circulation” desk be located?

  • D102.

Where will the librarians be located if I need research assistance?

  • D102 and H130.

Where can I find an updated list of the Library’s personnel directory?

Computers and Technology

Will there still be computers for students to use?

  • Yes. Approximately 35 in D102 and 19 in H130.

Will scanners and copiers still be provided?

  • Two scanners will be available in D102 and one in H130.
  • No photocopier will be available in the temporary library facilities. There is a photocopier for student use in front of Y203.

General Remodel Questions

When will the library re-open?

  • Current plans project the spring of 2018.

What else is being renovated?

  • The Tutoring Center, Writing Center, Success Services, and the Academy for Teaching Excellence.

Other Questions

Will we still be teaching instruction classes? Where?

  • Yes.  The primary Library instructor classroom will be Y203d.  Use this form to request an instruction session.

Will the College Archives still be available?

  • Yes, in D264 A.
