What is a citation style?

A citation style such as APA or MLA is a set of rules about how to cite your sources.  Rules for APA are published in the book entitled The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association and the rules for MLA are published in the book entitled The MLA Handbook.  In this guide you'll find information from each of those books about how to cite your sources.  If you get stuck, remember you can always ask a librarian.
