Online Library Services: Home

The Library has a new guide to share online learning materials and other instruction offerings. Please use the Library and Information Literacy Instruction guide. The Online Library Services Guide will be retired shortly.

The Library is offering a number of online instruction options beyond the videos and text shared on this guide. Most notably, we are offering our Embedded Librarian program, which pairs a librarian with your course. We invite faculty to fill out our Instructional Request Form, and a librarian will contact you to discuss options.

The Harper College Library has created this guide to help students and faculty who may need to teach or work remotely for any reason. Most of the Library's services and resources are available to you even off-campus! This guide will share information about what is available as well as some other resources that may be helpful to you as you think about how both you and your students can work effectively online.

This guide is just a starting point. Harper College Librarians are available to assist you if you have questions, if you would like help finding additional resources or if you would like ideas about how to teach information literacy online. Email us at You can also use our live chat service, although be aware at certain times you may reach a librarian at one of our partner schools, not a Harper librarian.

Note: This guide will be evolving over the coming weeks, so check back for updates. If you have suggestions of topics to add, please let us know.
